Embarking on the journey towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a transformative process, and receiving clinical supervision is a crucial aspect of this professional development. Engaging in such supervision offers a personalized and focused learning experience tailored to the unique challenges and requirements of your workplace. Through these services, social workers can deepen their understanding of the regulatory landscape, ethical considerations, and cultural dynamics, ensuring a well-rounded and contextually relevant approach to their clinical practice.
Clinical supervision provides a supportive and enriching environment for social workers pursuing their LCSW. The one-on-one nature of this supervision allows for a more intimate mentorship experience, fostering a strong professional relationship between the supervisor and the supervisee. This personalized guidance helps social workers navigate the complexities of the licensure process, develop advanced clinical skills, and gain insights into best practices.
As a social worker seeking licensure, engaging in clinical supervision is not only a requirement but also an invaluable investment in one’s professional growth. The mentorship received in this setting goes beyond fulfilling licensure obligations; it shapes a social worker’s identity, instilling a deep commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and the overall wellbeing of the communities they serve. By actively participating in clinical supervision, social workers can confidently progress towards their LCSW, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those they will ultimately serve.
I am passionate about working with social workers who are interested in trauma; LGBTQIA+ clients; gender diverse clients; Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work; Humanistic and Existential Psychotherapy; or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I currently offer clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers in the states of Georgia and Colorado. I am committed to the effectiveness of the social work field and the clients we serve, and maintain a number of sliding scale slots for those working toward earning their LCSW.
